Interested in Volunteering?

Our volunteers must be at least 21 years old, and fully vaccinated against Covid-19. In addition, they must pass a background check and sign some forms (below).

We have multiple volunteer opportunities, not just as a “Pilot” (who pedals the adaptive bikes), or as a “Safety” (who rides on his/her own bicycle to warn of hazards and to control cross traffic), but we can also use administrative help of many kinds. If interested in volunteering, email Board member Bob Fitton at volunteers4sequimwheelers@gmail.com.

How to become a Pilot or Safety:

We are currently training new volunteers, so these are the steps needed to be eligible:

Step 1: Fill out the Background Check Authorization form by clicking here, and send it with a photocopy of your driver’s license to:
Sequim Wheelers
PO Box 276
Carlsborg, WA 98324

Step 2: Read, fill out, sign, and submit our online Volunteer Agreement, here: Sequim Wheelers 2021 Volunteer Agreement.

Step 3: Read, fill out, sign, and submit our online Liability/Covid waiver by clicking here: Sequim Wheelers 2021 Waiver.

Once those three items are completed, we will work with you to schedule three 2-hour training sessions (we have 3 DIFFERENT bikes to learn). You will have to demonstrate competence in handling the bikes (they do not behave like your own bicycle!) and a willingness to put the passenger’s comfort ahead of your own cycling interests.
